Secret Art Show Years Past

secret art auction

I was invited a couple of years ago to participate in the 3rd annual Burbank Arts For All Secret Art Show. I have since participated in a few of these shows but sadly they have skipped the secret art show auction for the past two years.

None the less I wanted to share some of the pieces I’ve sent into these awesome events. The Secret Art Show was a flat fee art show where all pieces were $40.

Sales of these shows and their other fundraising events go to the Burbank School District’s art program to make sure every child has access to art education in Burbank. The show was a blind-sale group art show; so the buyers wouldn’t know who made their piece of art until after their purchase. Hence the name, Secret Art Show. I can tell you that the shows included some kickass artists. I think I’ll just name drop a few:

Conan O’Brien
Andy Richter
Adonna Khare
Bill Morrison
Bart Johnson
Robyn Lively
Peter Bennett
Blake Lively
Ryan Reynolds
Stephen Hillenburg
David Shannon
Joe Mantegna
Ana Bagayan
Frank Dietz
W. Earl Brown
Jim Henson Creature Shop
Members of the Burbank Art Association
BUSD Students
BUSD Super – Matt Hill
Artists from Warner Bros , Walt Disney Animation Studio & Nickelodeon

Here’s a look at my art made for these events.

I always have so much fun preparing for this event and secretly hope they’ll one day return to these fun auctions. I am honored to be included alongside some of the most talented and creative people.

Art Drop Day 2017

Art drop day 2017

Happy World Art Drop Day 2017! On the first Tuesday of September, artists dropped art in random public places for strangers to find and keep. The holiday was conceived by Utah artist Mr Jake Parker. #ArtDropDay Drop Art; not bombs!

What a great way to wrap up the Labor Day Holiday; by giving away a bunch of original pieces of artwork.

Among the paintings dropped were 3 oil paintings, and various sketches and drawings. It is always a pleasure to create from the heart and leave it for a stranger to find and keep for free. This is my second year doing World Art Drop Day; and I already can not wait until 2018 to do it again. Then again, I might not wait that long.

Have a look at some of the piece which were dropped. And don’t forget to check out last year’s World Art Drop Day pictures!
